Domestic EPC assessor · EC2Y (EC2Y)
A domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates your home from A to G and is required for most property sales and rentals in England and Wales. Use this guide to understand EPCs in EC2Y, then compare independent EPC assessors and request quotes on your terms.
Service area
An Energy Performance Certificate is an official document showing how energy efficient a property is, rated from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). It also includes estimated running costs and typical improvement recommendations.
The assessment covers construction elements, heating, hot water, lighting and insulation. It is not a structural survey, electrical check or gas safety certificate - it focuses on energy performance only.
In England and Wales, you generally need a valid EPC before marketing a home for sale or rent. Landlords must provide one to prospective tenants, and agents must include the rating in property listings.
Certificates are valid for ten years unless replaced sooner. If your property has had significant energy-related improvements, a new assessment may better reflect current performance.
Search postcode district EC2Y on EPCguys to see independent EPC assessors we currently list for the area. You can shortlist up to ten businesses, complete a short property questionnaire, verify your email, and send one enquiry.
Only assessors you shortlist receive your contact details. Compare written quotes before you book - pricing can vary with property type, access and urgency.
An accredited domestic energy assessor visits the property, records key features, and produces the certificate using standard methodology so ratings are comparable between homes.
Allow access to all rooms, the boiler or heat pump, and the loft where safe. The assessor lodges the certificate on the official register - you receive a copy for your records and marketing.
Read our independent guides before you instruct an assessor - no sales pressure, just practical information.
